This page is to answer your questions about working with our studio. We like to be very upfront about our business and what is expected for a successful relationship. If you have any questions, please contact us!

What is Ron Chapple Studios all about?

We produce pictures for licensing or sale to commercial clients such as magazines, airlines, banks and pharmaceutical companies. Our company works with hundreds of models every year to create beautiful trend-setting images. We’re successful because we choose to work with people, like yourself, who have both the right look and a professional attitude.

What is stock photography?

Stock photography is an online picture library available to clients for their image needs. Many clients find that licensing an existing image is easier than photographing an entirely new advertising campaign. The images may be used in brochures, advertisements, posters, on a billboard, in videos, or on a web site.

Do I get paid ?

All of our models are paid promptly. If you are working directly with us (no model agency), you are paid after the shoot. There is no waiting for your money. For accounting reasons, we must pay by company check. Paying by cash is not an option. Modeling fees depend on age, experience and our budgets.

Do I get more money if my picture sells?

We do not pay royalties. Our studio takes the financial risk for paying all the production
expenses upfront. It would be unfair if we asked you to wait for the picture to sell in order to get paid. (We do have images that, for one reason or another, have never been licensed.)

Do I have to sign anything?

An unconditional model release is required and must be signed prior at the shoot. Model releases are a legal document and essential to the production process. The model release provides us the right to license your image to clients. No exceptions can be made to the terms of the release. Please read the release carefully and ask any questions before signing. Anyone under age 18 must have a parent or guardian sign the release.

Do I get to see the pictures?

When possible, we will try to provide you with digital images. Please drop us an e-mail if
you are interested in receiving pictures. (We work well ahead of our deadlines. Finished images may take 2-3 months before they are ready.)

Can’t make it to the shoot?

Last minute emergencies or a sudden illness can happen to anyone. If there is any possibility that you cannot attend a confirmed booking, please let us know with as much advance notice as possible. In many cases, we have multiple models booked for a shoot along with a crew and locations. A “no show” model is absolutely unprofessional. If you’re going to be more than 5 minutes late due to traffic, please call us.

You can help!

Know anyone who would be a good model? Please have them contact us. Know any great
locations? Let us know!

What do I do at the shoot?

We expect professionalism from everyone, both our crew and the models. Our shoots are fun, but we’re working to create images for our business.

Here are the basics:

• Please be on time.

• Bring any clothes that we have requested. Make sure to have the basic accessories such as belts, socks and small jewelry.

• Clean hair and and well-groomed fingernails are essential.

• Men: unless you already have a beard or mustache, please be freshly shaven.

• Women: natural make-up, not too heavy on the eyes or eyeliner — we can always add more! Bring basic powder and choices of lip color.
